Du’a Right Before You Approach Ramadan:
Before you begin embarking on the spiritual journey, it is best to recite this du’a to rectify your mindset, your intentions to become a better you in the month of Ramadan, and hopefully continue to maintain that momentum throughout, InshaAllah.

(Musnad Imam Ahmad)
Here’s also another du’a you can recite before you begin your journey to ensure that your Ramadan experience is smooth sailing, and your deen is safeguarded from the temptations of the Dunya although Ramadan is known as the month where devils are chained in Hellfire!
“O Allah preserve me for Ramadan, safeguard Ramadan for me and accept it for me.”
(narrated by Imam At-Tabrani)
Du’a at the Beginning of Fasting in the Month of Ramadan:
Here are three ways you can set your niyyah or intention right before you begin fasting in the month of Ramadan. You can either recite this the night before you fast, or right after you’ve had your Suhoor. You can either recite the du’a to set your intentions daily, or you can just recite a one-off du’a for the entire month of Ramadan. It’s completely up to you!
“I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.”
“I intend to do obligatory fast tomorrow in the month of Ramadan this year because of Allah.”
“I intend to do obligatory fast for the whole month of Ramadan this year because of Allah.”
Du’a for Iftar or When You Break Your Fast:
Whether you are breaking your fast alone or with your family and friends, it is encouraged for you to recite this du’a together! May Allah Almighty grant you barakah in the food that you eat to break your fast with, InshaAllah.
“O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance.”
Dua After Performing Taraweeh Prayers:
Taraweeh prayers are known to be one of the most common acts of worship done in the month of Ramadan, although it is not obligatory. It’s a Sunnah that rarely comes by and only happens in the month of Ramadan, so take this opportunity to offer Taraweeh prayers to further enhance the quality of your spiritual well being, InshaAllah.
