This opening lesson introduces students to the Shamā’il Muhammadiyyah, a profound compilation by Imām al-Tirmidhī that captures the beauty, character, and daily life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Students will explore the background of the author and the unique structure of the book. The lesson also discusses the purpose of studying the Shamā’il—not just to gain knowledge, but to deepen love and admiration for the Prophet ﷺ. It highlights how the companions carefully transmitted minute details of his life with great reverence, preserving a legacy for future generations. Most importantly, students will reflect on the significance of cultivating sincere love for the Prophet ﷺ as a foundation for emulating his example.
In this lesson, students are taken on a head-to-toe journey through the physical appearance of the Prophet ﷺ. They will learn how he was described by his companions—his height, complexion, hair, and noble facial features. The lesson also brings to life the awe and admiration felt by those who saw him, with vivid first impressions that capture his magnetic presence. Real stories from the Sahabah will help students appreciate the light and beauty of his appearance, reminding them that physical beauty in the Prophet ﷺ was inseparable from his inner perfection.
This lesson explores how the Prophet ﷺ cared for his hair, beard, and overall hygiene. Students will uncover Sunnahs related to grooming, cleanliness, and self-care, which were not only routine but also acts of devotion. By studying his grooming habits, learners will see the balance he maintained between simplicity and dignity. The lesson then connects these practices to modern life, encouraging students to embody prophetic habits in their own hygiene and grooming routines today.
Here, students will examine the types of clothes the Prophet ﷺ wore—robes, turbans, sandals—and the values reflected in his choices. The Prophet’s style was marked by humility and simplicity, despite his high status. His preference for modesty, comfort, and cleanliness set a timeless example. Students will also learn the etiquette around wearing certain garments and colors he liked, gaining insight into the prophetic approach to clothing as a reflection of character rather than extravagance.
This lesson introduces students to the personal items of the Prophet ﷺ, including his ring, sword, and seal. These objects carry both symbolic and practical significance and reflect the balance in his lifestyle—purposeful yet detached. Students will learn about the proper adab (etiquette) in using and honouring belongings, inspired by how the Prophet ﷺ treated even simple items with care and gratitude. The lesson also offers reflections on zuhd—detachment from worldly possessions—as exemplified in the Prophet’s relationship with his belongings.
In this lesson, students will discover how the Prophet ﷺ ate and drank, what foods he preferred, and the Sunnahs he observed at mealtime. His table manners—such as beginning with bismillah, eating with the right hand, and sitting humbly—emphasize respect, gratitude, and mindfulness. The Prophet ﷺ also taught moderation and the importance of sharing, instilling spiritual values in the most ordinary acts. Students will explore how these habits foster gratitude and conscious consumption in today’s fast-paced world.
Students will study the eloquence, clarity, and thoughtful rhythm of the Prophet’s ﷺ speech. His ability to communicate effectively while maintaining brevity and depth is deeply admired. This lesson also explores how and when he remained silent—an intentional form of communication rooted in wisdom. Concepts like samt (dignified silence) and mindful listening are highlighted as powerful prophetic traits, encouraging students to reflect on how they speak, listen, and interact with others.
This lesson delves into the Prophet’s ﷺ spiritual life, covering his daily prayers, Qur’an recitation, fasting, and night prayers. Students will explore how he divided his day with intention—balancing worship, rest, and service—and how he maintained a strong, unwavering connection with Allah. The lesson invites students to reflect on their own spiritual routines, drawing lessons from the Prophet’s consistency, sincerity, and love in worship.
This lesson focuses on the core of the Prophet’s ﷺ mission: his noble character. Students will learn about his mercy, humility, patience, and generosity. They’ll explore how he interacted with different groups of people, including the poor, women, children, and even his enemies, always with dignity and justice. Through real-life incidents, students will see his akhlaq (character) in action and understand how embodying prophetic traits is key to being a true follower.
The Prophet ﷺ was deeply human—he smiled, joked, and cried. This lesson explores his sense of humor, emotional intelligence, and how he used lightheartedness to uplift others without ever mocking or hurting anyone. His ability to express emotions openly and appropriately made him relatable, compassionate, and beloved. By studying this side of the Prophet ﷺ, students will build empathy and understand that vulnerability and strength often go hand in hand.
This lesson maps out the Prophet’s ﷺ daily life—from morning to evening—highlighting his balance between worship, family, work, and community. Students will learn how he dedicated time to serve others, spend time with loved ones, and maintain spiritual discipline. His routine wasn’t rigid, but purposeful. The lesson encourages students to think about balance in their own lives and how to align their daily actions with prophetic values.
The final lesson invites students to internalize what it means to love the Prophet ﷺ in a practical and transformative way. True love is shown not only in admiration, but in emulation. Students are encouraged to adopt small, consistent Sunnahs that bring barakah into their lives. The lesson may conclude with personal reflections or presentations on their favorite prophetic quality and how they plan to embody it, closing the course with a sense of personal connection and purpose.
