Truth: Despite the benefits of habbatus sauda, it should be taken in specific doses, and in specific circumstances.
This introductory course will share and exemplify Prophetic Healing approaches. You will be exposed to the Prophetic medicines and Ruqyah treatment as practiced by Prophet Muhammad, Allah’s Peace and Blessings be upon him.
There is a cure for every disease on this earth. We have to strive towards seeking the knowledge of the remedies to these diseases. Prophetic healing has been passed down over a thousand years, and still remains relevant and effective to this day. Throughout this Prophetic medicine course, you will learn the many remedies and techniques that could remove harm from your bodies and keep us healthy and spritely.
This Islamic medicine course will discuss on the health benefits of Sunnah Foods such as Honey, Apple Cider Vinegar, Olive Oil and Habbatus-sauda; share remedies for common ailments such as fever, migraine and others via Prophetic healing; and techniques and usage of ruqyah treatment and cupping (hijama), and the treatment of ailments caused by magic and the evil eye.
Ustadh Muhammad Salleh is SimplyIslam’s Chief Knowledge Strategist and a certified instructor by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) & the Asatizah Recognition Board (ARB). He received his education from Malaysia’s National University before pursuing his degree at Egypt’s Al-Azhar University. Besides that, he also graduated from Singapore’s prestigious Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah and completed his full-time pre-university studies at the madrasah.
In the first lesson on the principles of illness and medicine, we explored the intriguing connection between religion and medicine, delving into the various categories of fever and the application of natural remedies, such as the use of cold water for treatment. The lesson also highlighted the significance of honey in medical practices, emphasizing its role in treating diarrhea and offering a session dedicated to appreciating and tasting this versatile natural remedy.
In Lesson 2, students will delve into the practice of Hijama, exploring its historical roots and providing a clear definition of the technique. The lesson elucidates how Hijamah works, shedding light on its mechanisms and benefits. An important aspect will be covered, identifying individuals for whom Hijamah might not be suitable and ensuring a nuanced understanding of its application. Frequently asked questions will be addressed, offering comprehensive insights. Additionally, the lesson highlighted the optimal times for cupping, aligning with best practices.
In Lesson 3, the focus is on unconventional remedies for various health issues. The lesson covers using Henna for treating headaches, incorporating dates for pain management, leveraging Senna to address constipation, utilizing honey for the treatment of diarrhea, and exploring the health benefits of Sunnah foods. Additionally, the lesson delves into the significance of the number Seven and Arabic Numerology in the context of overall well-being.
In Lesson 4 until 6, the focus is on the treatment of the sick through the exclusion of disliked food and drink, guided by prophetic wisdom. The lesson delves into appropriate dietary choices for the sick, emphasizing proper eating and drinking manners. Additionally, it explores the preservation of health through the use of scents and highlights specific foods and medicines mentioned by the prophet for therapeutic purposes. The lesson expands beyond physical ailments to address the spiritual realm, discussing the concept of the evil eye, its treatment, and different types of sihr (magic). Practical approaches to counteracting Sihr are also explored, providing a holistic perspective on health and well-being based on the teachings of the prophet.
