Ustadh Mohammed Iqbal Abdullah’s journey into Islam spans a remarkable 25 years, during which he has become widely recognized as one of Singapore’s most knowledgeable and esteemed Muslim converts, particularly in the realm of Islamic sciences. His educational path includes studies at prestigious institutions such as the International Islamic University Islamabad in Pakistan and Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he delved deep into the complexities of Islamic knowledge. However, it was under the mentorship of Singapore’s esteemed scholar, the late Allahyarham Sheikh Umar al-Khatib, that Ustaz Mohamed Iqbal honed his understanding and expertise to a profound level.
Ustaz Mohamed Iqbal’s dedication to spreading knowledge and fostering Islamic education is evident in his extensive teaching experience of over 12 years. He has served as an instructor at various prominent institutions in Singapore, including The Muslim Converts Association of Singapore (Darul Arqam), Masjid Abdul Aleem Siddique, and Masjid Al-Istiqamah. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Director at the Azizah Chishty Quranic Centre, where he conducts regular classes and imparts invaluable teachings to eager learners. Additionally, he is actively involved in teaching at several mosques, further enriching the local Muslim community with his profound insights and teachings.
As an accomplished author, Ustaz Mohammed Iqbal has penned several enlightening books that delve into various aspects of Islamic spirituality and practice. His works include titles such as “The Divine Kingdom,” “The Miraculous Journey Al-Isra Wal-Mi’raj,” “The Reliance of the Believer in Ramadan,” “Ramadan Supplications in Singapore Mosques,” “Hajj & Umrah,” and “A Step by Step Practical Guide.” These publications not only showcase his depth of knowledge but also serve as valuable resources for Muslims seeking spiritual guidance and practical advice.
In addition to his teaching and writing endeavors, Ustaz Mohammed Iqbal is actively involved in SimplyIslam’s “A Journey of Faith” Hajj & Umrah Course, where he imparts his wealth of knowledge and experience to guide pilgrims on their sacred journeys.
