Almarhum Dr. Fuad Nahdi is the Executive Director of the Radical Middle Way and Founding Editor of Q-News – The Muslim Magazine, established in 1992. His extensive contributions in media, community activism, and interfaith work over three decades have garnered recognition in the UK and globally.
Dr. Nahdi’s influence is evident through accolades such as being named one of the world’s 500 most influential Muslims multiple times by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre. He was also included in the UK Muslim Power 100 list and received the Al Mahabba Award for his work on the Uniting for The Prophet initiative.
As a pioneering journalist and campaigner, Dr. Nahdi has advocated for new voices in public discourse and addressed pressing social and political issues, from inner-city challenges to extremism. He has a journalism background from City University, London, and has contributed to renowned media outlets worldwide.
Dr. Nahdi’s impact extends to founding and editing Q-News – The Muslim Magazine, known for its bold journalism on various topics and its role in nurturing young Muslim media professionals. He has been a champion of interfaith dialogue, being one of the first British Muslims to engage in Jewish-Muslim discussions at Limmud.
Currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Muslim College in London, Nahdi teaches on interfaith relations. He has received prestigious awards for his lifelong commitment to bridging faith communities and promoting understanding.
