Habib Syech Assegaf

Habib bin Abdulkadir Syech Assegaf is a descendant of Sayyidina Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam, and is the son of Habib Abdulkadir Bin Abdurrahman Assegaf, a pious Islamic scholar and Imam at Masjid Jami’ Assegaf in Solo Indonesia.

Habib Syech received his Islamic education from his father, and his uncle from Hadramawt, Yemen.  He also learnt directly from the eminent Habib Muhammad Anis bin Alwiy Al-Habsyi (Imam Masjid Riyadh).  By the blessings of Prophet Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam, Habib Syech Assegaf now spends his days teaching and spreading the love of Sayyidina Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam.

Today, hundreds of thousands of people follow him religiously in his teachings and recitations of beautiful Qasidah and Islamic songs.  Habib Syech and his group, Ahbaabul Musthofa, have been organising huge Mawlid & Salawat events, attended by hundreds of thousands of people, with local and international scholars like Habib Lutfi Bin Yahya, Shaykh Hisham Kabbani (USA), Ustaz Shafi .  In Barakbah, Ustaz TM Fouzy (Singapore).

SimplyIslam organised a successful program called “The Grand Mawlid” on 22 February 2013 at Masjid Sultan Singapore, attended by about 9,000 people, filling the Mosque to the brim, overflowing to the streets.  He has also been in similar events across Malaysia, the most recent one being on 23 March 2013 at Dataran Merdeka (KL), which was broadcast ‘live’ on AlHijrah TV.
