16 Hour Iqra’ is designed as a fast-track Qur’an reading and recitation learning class suitable for those to learn Iqra for beginners. It is also to address these issues faced by many adults seeking to learn to read the Qur’an.

This class will be led by Ustadh Abla, a Moroccan native Arabic speaker. Ustadh Abla is specialised in working with adult learners – he understands the struggles and the barriers facing adult students and knows how best to make this easy for you.

16 Hour Iqra for Beginners will turn you from zero to hero. You will learn all aspects of the Arabic letters, proper pronunciation, vocal projection, as well as Qur’anic Arabic writing practices.

At the end of the course, you will be able to recognise and read Arabic words, leading them towards the fulfilling and rewarding lifelong reading of the Holy Qur’an Insha’Allah.

Entry requirements:

  • This course is open to all students, aged 15 and above. Students are expected to have a basic proficiency in reading the Qur’an, and should be fluent and comfortable in learning to read the Qur’an in Malay. Students who progress from this course may progress to Ustadh Abla’s Tadarrus Al-Qur’an class for advanced readers.
