Are you looking for an Islamic course for beginners? A course which explains all the basics you need to know as a Muslim revert, or perhaps a life long Muslim looking to learn from scratch?
Understanding the basics of Islam may seem like an intimidating step but it is absolutely necessary. Why?
Imagine planting a seed—one that holds the potential for growth, strength, and resilience.
That seed germinates, sending down roots—the very foundation that will support its stem, branches, and leaves as it flourishes.
The fundamentals of Islam are like those roots. A strong foundation nurtures a sturdy tree, reaching towards the skies. A weak or neglected base, however, leads to instability, leaving the plant vulnerable.
Mastering the basics is not just an entry point—it is the key to clarity. It allows us to make sense of Islamic teachings, to navigate deeper disciplines, and to develop a comprehensive understanding of our faith.
Because without strong roots, how can we ever hope to grow?
Throughout our beginner Islamic course, you will be able to learn the absolute essentials the easy and efficient way for you to become not only a responsible Muslim, but a Muslim with a clear goal.
Allah Almighty said: “I have not created jinn and mankind except to worship Me”.
We believe this life is a means for us to please Allah Almighty, obey Him and thank Him for His countless blessings and gifts. One of the absolute essentials of Islam you must know is understanding the basics of Muslim faith; the 6 articles of faith and the 5 pillars of Islam.
Without seeking proper knowledge and having the right foundation, our worship and daily life may be doubtful at best, or worse, rejected. This course outlines the absolute essentials of Islam and knowledge a Muslim needs to follow the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, in our worship and obedience to Allah The Almighty.
In this introductory course, you will learn about the the Personally Obligatory (Fard al ayn), the Communally Obligatory (Fard al Kifayah) and the rulings of sacred law (the obligatory, the recommended, the unlawful, the offensive and the permissible).
Not only that, but you will also learn the fundamentals like The Five Pillars of Islam, The Six Pillars of Iman (Faith), the obligatory duties, both theory and in practical.
This essential Islam course is suitable for anyone who wants to build a solid foundation in understanding Islam, whether you are a born Muslim, re-observant Muslim, non-Muslim or convert/revert. It is also a recommended refresher course for Muslim parents living in contemporary Singapore.
The teacher will be using Al-Maqasid by Imam Nawawi and ‘Umdat as-Salik wa ‘Uddat (Reliance of the Traveller) by Shihabuddin Abu al-‘Abbas Ahmad ibn an-Naqib al-Misri as references.
