Ahlan ya Ramadan! Are you ready to embrace this spiritually invigorating month? The month where all deed are accepted, and an opportune moment for us to improve the quality of our Ibadah, and focus on connecting with Allah Almighty.
To fully prepare for the blessed month, we’ve prepared for you a comprehensive course, to provide you a structured understanding of the essential rules and practices for observing fasting during Ramadan and celebrating Eid.
You will explore the jurisprudential foundations of fasting, including the necessary conditions, obligatory acts, and recommended practices that enhance the spiritual and legal dimensions of this act of worship. The course will also cover prohibited and discouraged actions to ensure that students can observe Ramadan in accordance with Islamic principles.
Additionally, the course delves into the laws surrounding Eid prayers and observances, focusing on the obligations and recommended acts for both the night and day of Eid. Lessons cover topics such as determining the start of the month, exemptions that permit breaking the fast, recommended night prayers like Tarawih, and the charitable obligation of Zakat Fitrah. By the end, students will gain a comprehensive yet practical understanding of how to observe these significant rituals, aligning their worship with Islamic law and tradition.

Our course is offered in hybrid mode, allowing participants to attend either in-person or online. You are welcome to join in person for an immersive experience or choose the convenience of online learning through our platform here.
Participants are highly encouraged to attend classes at the scheduled date and time for a more interactive and immersive learning experience. They can engage in Q&A sessions with the instructor. However, they can access the lessons online if they cannot attend at the scheduled time.

Ustadh Ahmad Khalil attained his Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Jurisprudence from Kuwait University. Alongside his formal education, he actively learns from scholars and attends traditional halaqahs in various Islamic subjects, gaining a profound understanding and appreciation for the diverse facets of Islamic knowledge. His commitment to continuous learning has allowed him to integrate classical teachings with contemporary issues, enriching his perspective and enhancing his teaching methodology.
Starting his journey as an educator, Ustadh Ahmad began by teaching young adults, where his engaging and approachable style quickly resonated with his students. His ability to connect with learners of various backgrounds and his passion for imparting knowledge led to his current role as a lecturer for adult classes at both Muhammadiyyah and Andalus. In these institutions, he focuses on delivering in-depth lessons on Comparative Jurisprudence and other Islamic sciences, encouraging critical thinking and spiritual growth among his students. His dedication to education and community service makes him a respected and beloved figure in the Islamic educational community.
In Lesson 1, students are introduced to the course and text, learning how to determine the start of the Islamic month, which is crucial for timing Ramadhan and Eid.
Lesson 2 covers the conditions required for fasting to be valid, the circumstances that make fasting obligatory, and specific situations that permit an individual to break their fast.
In Lesson 3, students explore recommended acts while fasting, including additional worship practices during Ramadhan such as Iktikaf (spiritual seclusion), Tarawih, Witr, and other night prayers, enhancing the devotional experience of the month.
Lesson 4 addresses the expiation (Kaffarah) required for engaging in prohibited actions while fasting in Ramadhan, along with the concept of obligatory Fidyah for particular cases where fasting cannot be completed.
In Lesson 5, students learn about the significance of recommended fasts outside of Ramadhan and study the laws related to Zakat Fitrah, a mandatory act of charity during the month.
Lesson 6 examines the laws related to Eid prayers and the proper observance of the Takbir for Eid, ensuring students understand the rituals and significance of these celebrations.
