Shaykh Faraz Rabbani’s journey in Islamic studies spans a decade, during which he immersed himself in learning from prominent scholars. Initially, he spent significant time in Damascus, where he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of renowned theologian Shaykh Adib al-Kallas and his accomplished student Shaykh Hassan al-Hindi, a leading expert in Hanafi jurisprudence. His educational pursuits continued in Amman, Jordan, where he deepened his knowledge under the tutelage of esteemed scholars.
Upon returning to Canada in 2007, Shaykh Faraz recognized the pressing need to disseminate Islamic knowledge comprehensively and effectively. This realization led to the establishment of SeekersGuidance, a platform dedicated to providing reliable, relevant, and accessible Islamic education both online and through community engagement initiatives.
In addition to his role as a teacher and educator, Shaykh Faraz is also an author, with notable works such as “Absolute Essentials of Islam: Faith, Prayer, and the Path of Salvation According to the Hanafi School” published by White Thread Press in 2004. His contributions to the field of Islamic education have been widely recognized, as evidenced by his inclusion in the list of the 500 most influential Muslims by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center since 2011. Shaykh Faraz’s commitment to spreading Islamic knowledge and promoting a deeper understanding of Islam continues to impact individuals globally, making him a respected figure in the Muslim community.
