However, today I am not going to do a review on the Nasi lemak in Qiji but instead, onto a different dish – their Egg Noodle and Popiah Basah! I am not sure if you have tried their egg noodle at Qiji but if you have not please do!!

I was in Bugis Village Qiji Outlet yesterday for lunch as I was around the area during the busy afternoon lunch. The place was naturally busy, being in the heart of a shopping heaven so I decided to take away instead. I did not want to eat the Nasi Lemak as I just wanted a hot soupy dish to beat the cold rainy day and I had no regrets!

For $4, I would say that it could be a little high on the price side for a bowl of egg noodles, hotdogs, and fish balls and topped up with prawns. But, the whole combination was really nice and it was just what I needed on a cold rainy afternoon (even if it was not rainy, it still tasted good!) so I did not mind the price. In fact, I was really contented when I finished my noodles as the serving was not bad. Quite generous with the prawns too!

Not to mention, the Popiah Basah was a must try along with the egg noodle! Even by its own, the popiah basah tasted just as good! Personally, I have never liked popiah basah but after I tried Qiji’s popiah basah, my mind was set that it’s perhaps the BEST popiah basah in the world! Ok, I’m exaggerating but really, you must try it to believe me! J For those who might not know what popiah basah is, it’s actually popiah skin wrapped with vegetables and soya sauce, egg and prawns to go with. It’s really a simple dish to try making yourself. But, for the price of $2.50 you would not want to bother making it yourself so head on to Qiji to try some soon! You can choose whether you want it spicy or non-spicy too when you order.

Egg Noodle

Popiah Basah

However, if you do not feel like eating the egg noodle or the Popiah Basah, they also have Nasi Lemak, Laksa, Mee Siam and Tahu Goreng too.
