Repeat \u201cI am \u2018Abd <\/em>Allah.\u201d out loud at least 5 times!<\/p>\n

You see, from breaking the words \u2018Abd<\/em> & Allah, subsequently one will end up saying \u201cI am Abdillah.<\/em>\u201d or \u201cI am Abdullah<\/em>.\u201d which sounds like a name! What are we saying, nevertheless? Well, the term \u2018Abd <\/em>itself means slave, so when you say \u201cI am \u2018Abd<\/em> Allah\u201d, you are saying \u201cI am the slave of Allah.\u201d<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s register this in our head. We are not \u2018Abd <\/em>Dinar, \u2018Abd <\/em>Dollar, \u2018Abd <\/em>Ringgit, or \u2018Abd<\/em> anything monetary. We are but the slave of Allah SWT & the slave of Allah SWT prostrate to their Creator each day in their Salah.<\/em><\/p>\n

What is the \u201cuniform\u201d to perform Salah,<\/em> then? It is the garments of the righteous – the believing women, modestly covered and veiled. Once, I chanced upon a quote which hit me hard. It went, \u201cIf you can\u2019t pray in it, you can\u2019t leave the house in it.\u201d I think every being is entitled to their own opinion but let\u2019s start pondering, do we see truth in this impactful quote? Or at least, a slight truth? Because I personally do. I felt the pinch.<\/p>\n

The believing women veil themselves because they are \u2018Abd<\/em> Allah. On a lighter note, the believing women do not veil themselves because they are \u2018Abd <\/em>Blogging where they see other hijabis<\/em> getting known because of blogging. Neither do they veil themselves because they are \u2018Abd<\/em> Chiffon where they start liking the Chiffon Shawls and so they use it to veil themselves. But it\u2019s only because they are \u2018Abd <\/em>Allah – the slave of Allah! (Or Amatullah<\/em>, if you’re particular about the proper Arabic usage)<\/p>\n

Allah SWT tells the believing women to hide their beauty. When we know sincerely that to veil is for Allah SWT, InsyaAllah<\/em>, a great self-development is bound to happen. After all, change is a beautiful process – it is but a learning journey.<\/p>\n

To all women who veil themselves and hide their beauty, I would like to present a standing ovation for your courage and bravery to put on your crown, and to those who do not, I would like to present you another standing ovation, even for your slightest niyyah <\/em>to put on the veil. Allah SWT is always by our side for His Guidance, InsyaAllah<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s constantly remind ourselves that in Suratul Tin [Ayat 4]<\/em> Allah SWT mentions that He has created all of us in the best of moulds, and when our Creator says so, it is<\/strong> so. Similarly, when Allah SWT says that the clothing of the righteousness is the best, it is <\/strong>the best. It is not merely conjecture.<\/p>\n

May all of us, the slaves of Allah SWT, be amongst the guided and may we open our hearts. Amin.<\/em><\/p>\n
