What a year was 570 AD
\nA person was born, a prophet to be
\nMuhammed (saws) that was his name
\nPeople were misguided and thats when he came
\nHe would go on to leave all the idols behind
\nHe is an example to all of mankind<\/p>\n
Rabbi al Awwal the 12th, that was the day
\nHe came to this world to show us the way
\nHe was born in Mecca, the holiest place
\nA life full of challenges he was to face
\nAbdullah (ra) his father, had by then passed away
\nLeaving Amina (ra) his mother, in her arms he lay<\/p>\n
Haalima Sadia, took over his care
\nUntil he was six, our prophet was there
\nHis mother then died, he was left all alone
\nAbdul Muttalib (ra) his grand-dad then made him his own
\nWhen our prophet was nine, his grandfather died
\nAbu Talib, his uncle, became his new guide<\/p>\n
In his 20’s, a merchant Muhammed (saws) became by trade
\nAl-Amin, (the trustworthy) became his grade
\nHazrat Khadija (ra) aged 40, became his bride
\nHe was 25, with her by his side
\nTo the poor,she gave away all her wealth
\nA dedicated wife in sickness and health<\/p>\n
360 idols in the Kaaba, they were at that time
\nOur prophet realised that this was a crime
\nHe would go to mount Hira,leaving behind his wife
\nReflecting and wondering about the meaning of life<\/p>\n
While thinking there in the midst of the night
\nHe heard a loud voice which filled him with fright
\nIt was the angel Gibrail(as) who asked him to read
\nOur prophet couldn’t and didnt take heed
\nThe angel embraced him and then asked him later
\nRead, Read in the name of the Creator
\nWho created man from a drop of blood<\/p>\n
Our prophet couldn’t read but at that time he could
\nOur prophet rushed to the path straight ahead
\nHe heard a voice from the heavens which said
\nMuhammed (saws) truly you are the messenger of God
\nMuhammed (saws) was scared and thought this quite odd
\n‘Praise be to God’ his wife said instead
\n”I know you’ve been chosen as God’s messenger’ she said
\nAnd thus Khadija (ra) became the first woman of islam<\/p>\n
And over the next 23 years came the revelation, the Quran
\nHe preached to all people, every creed every race
\nYet so many hardships he had to face
\nThere were fears for his life, then the Hijrat took place
\nHe then entered Medina, all by Allah’s grace
\nHe was greeted by the Ansaris who gave their salaam
\nTo him and his companians,the Sahaba ikram<\/p>\n
Then came the battles, which were fought face to face
\nThen the conquest of Mecca, Muhammed (saws)’s birthplace
\nAn Nasr was revealed, it’s message was clear
\nMuhammed (saws) knew that his time was near
\nEveryone gathered to hear his last speech
\nlittle did they know how far Allah’s message would reach<\/p>\n
Muhammed (saws) gave us the miracle the Quran
\nAnd now a 1\/4 of the world follow Islam
\nHe is our role-model, the best of mankind
\nAnd has left the Quran and his Sunnah behind<\/p>\n
