If Prophet Muhammad visited you
\nJust for a day or two,
\nIf he came unexpectedly,
\nI wonder what you would do?
\nOh I know you would give your nicest room,
\nTo such an honored guest,
\nAnd you would serve him your very best.<\/p>\n
You would be the very best,
\nCause you\u2019re glad to have him there,
\nThat serving him in your home
\nWould be a joy without compare.<\/p>\n
But\u2026when you see him coming,
\nWould you meet him at the door
\nWith your arms outstretched in welcome,
\nTo your visitor?<\/p>\n
Or\u2026would you have to change your clothes
\nbefore you let him in?
\nOr hide some magazines and put
\nThe Qur\u2019an where they had been?<\/p>\n
Would you still watch those movies,
\nOr your T.V. set?
\nOr would you switch it off,
\nBefore he gets upset.<\/p>\n
Would you turn off the radio,
\nAnd hope he had not heard?
\nAnd wish that you did not utter
\nyour last loud hasty word?<\/p>\n
Would you hide your worldly music,
\nAnd instead take out Hadith books?
\nCould you let him walk right in,
\nOr would you rush about?<\/p>\n
And I wonder\u2026if the Prophet (saw) spent, a day or two with you,
\nWould you go on doing the things you always do?
\nWould you go right on and say the things you always say?
\nWould life for you continue
\nAs it does from day to day?<\/p>\n
Would your family conversations,
\nKeep up their usual pace?
\nAnd would you find it hard each meal,
\nTo say a table grace?<\/p>\n
Would you keep up each and every prayer?
\nWithout putting on a frown?
\nAnd would you always jump up early,
\nFor Fajr at dawn?<\/p>\n
Would you sing the songs you always sing?
\nAnd read the book you read?
\nAnd let him know the things on which,
\nYour mind and spirit feed?<\/p>\n
Would you take the Prophet with you,
\nEverywhere you plan to go?
\nOr, would you maybe change your plans,
\nJust for a day or so?<\/p>\n
Would you be glad to have him meet,
\nYour very closest friends?
\nOr, would you hope they stay away,
\nUntil his visit ends?<\/p>\n
Would you be glad to have him stay,
\nForever on and on?
\nOr would you sigh with great relief,
\nWhen he at last was gone?<\/p>\n
It might be interesting to know,
\nThe things that you would do.
\nIf Prophet Muhammad came,
\nTo spend some time with you<\/p>\n
