It was one of those nights that I knew my mind would retain the exact moments I felt. The rain that started since afternoon was ending, bringing the usual night temperatures lower with slight breeze whistling from time to time. I was late for Burdah Night but yet I couldn\u2019t help but feel as though I have been given the best spot in the mosque for I could witness the clear night skies and feel the soothing winds while listening to serenades sung for our Beloved Mustafa.<\/p>\n

I still can recall with clarity that sense of peace of loving someone that would not abandon me in times of need when it arises. You may not be physically around dear Rasullulah s.a.w, but you are definitely present in the beauty of words in remembrance of the man who Allah has created this world for.<\/p>\n

I am grateful for that chance to be alive, breathing for no amount of money could buy anyone peace of mind, heart and soul. For those moments in life where words fails to convey the credulity of the moment I was living, my thoughts always wonder if Heaven was as wonderful as what I felt, or was it love that rules far righteously for those seeking His approval and enjoin in leaving those that He forbids.<\/p>\n

For Imam Al-Busiri,<\/a> who had given us a priceless gift of poems that the Prophet s.a.w personally enjoyed, appearing in his dreams and approving what he has written and even continuing it when he couldn\u2019t remember what he had written. As I sat there, reflecting on this piece of fact, I was overwhelmed to be chosen for knowledge. Among the billions that walked this Earth, I was here. Here to share in the embrace of the One who created me for His Beloved sake.<\/p>\n

It was continued with Shaykh Fakhrudin Owaisi\u2019s talk about this man who continued giving, giving and never asking for more than what His Lord has portioned for Him. I was brought back to a sense of remorse at my life, how it was filled with gaps that could be filled with love of the Prophet s.a.w. He was the epitome of mankind, the best. The one that Allah gave to unite the whole world. Yet, for this man the feat of fighting with those who truly believed in his Prophethood, led them to victory. A defeat that the Quran mentions:<\/p>\n

[quote][Remember, O believers], when Allah promised you one of the two groups – that it would be yours – and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours. But Allah intended to establish the truth by His words and to eliminate the disbelievers \u2013 Al Anfal 8:7[\/quote]<\/p>\n

Shaykh\u2019s parting words that left me even more ashamed was the fact that at the end of the Judgment Day when everyone of us, will be walking Siratul-Mustaqim; it is he who we never truly loved that will be supplicating for me for the sake of my safe passage so as I won\u2019t suffer. I left the mosque in a sense of peace and knowledge that even when this world crash, I am knee deep in sins and I could only fathom what might happen; I have hope. I have hope that my Prophet SAW loves me so much that insyaAllah, for his Sake, for the sake of true love from the Prophet that encompasses my dunya <\/em>and akhira<\/em>, I have found someone; someone who loves me as I am despite my imperfections for Allah has made me imperfect to remind me of His Greatness for without darkness, there won\u2019t be a need to pursue the light at the end of tunnel.

<\/strong>[box_light]Shaykh Fakhruddin Owaisi al-Madani<\/strong>, of the people of Sayyidina Owais al-Qarni, is a\u00a0muqaddam<\/em> of the Tijaniyya in Cape Town, South Africa. He was born in the USA but grew up and studied in Medina al-Munawwara for 18 years. He has an MA in Islamic Studies from the University of Cape Town and is the Imam of the Hout Bay Mosque in Capetown. He is also the Head of the Sunni `Ulema Council of Cape Town. Shaykh Fakhruddin studied with Sayyid Muhammad `Alawi al-Maliki of Mecca and also has ijazah in Hadith from Sayyid Muhammad al-Yaqubi. He took the Tariqa from the great Sufi master Shaykh Hassan Cisse of Senegal.
