MUZLIMBUZZ: \u00a0How did the idea behind ‘Wear The Truth’ come about?<\/strong><\/div>\n

[box_light]The idea is a reaction to the negative perceptions on Islam that has been on for too long. As our brand name suggests, it is an attempt to begin to spread the true essence of Islam, which is more about love and beauty, on a medium (t-shirts) that has such universal appeal and widespread reach. Messages of love and universal acceptance is a central theme to the whole t-shirt collection.[\/box_light]<\/div>\n

MUZLIMBUZZ: How long have you guys been doing this?<\/strong><\/div>\n

\n<\/strong><\/div>\n
[box_light]We have been actively producing t-shirts since 2010, though the idea has been at the back of our heads a few years earlier.[\/box_light]<\/div>\n

MUZLIMBUZZ: \u00a0What was the most memorable\/rewarding experience so far?<\/strong><\/div>\n

\n<\/strong><\/div>\n
[box_light]The most memorable experience so far was when we were told that we have been covered on the front page of The Jakarta Post last year when the guys from ‘The Brothahood’ supported us by wearing our tees on stage! It is always rewarding when we get encouraging words and support from our friends, families and strangers alike amongst the sea of doubts and uncertainties.[\/box_light]<\/div>\n

MUZLIMBUZZ: What do you think is the role of t-shirts and\/or visual design?<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
[box_light]The role of the t-shirt is beyond mere fashion or its functional purpose. We see it as a powerful medium that can carry an equally powerful message that if crafted well, helps change perceptions. It is like a canvas that carry messages and our users can help propagate by wearing them. In Aristotle’s own words, “The aim of the art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.”<\/strong><\/em>[\/box_light]<\/div>\n
