At fifty\u2026 she\u2019s a fighter!
\nCalmly killing off calamity –
\nshe oozes serenity, her sunshile smile that greets me
\nlike a ray of light.
\nShe ignites!
\nWith words of wisdom,
\nshe recites
\neven if my ears are unwilling, she\u2019s still giving
\nbecause she\u2019s a giver like that –
\nnever lacking love, always full of life,
\nbreathing beauty into every single sacrifice
\nshe has made and is always making.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s tough undertaking this thankless job.
\nI\u2019m just saying –
\nShe means everything to me!
\nShe gave everything to me!
\nAnd she deserves everything from me!<\/p>\n

And I\u2019m sorry if I\u2019ve been rude,
\nme and my hasty attitude.
\nRealise! She\u2019s mercy from the Divine!
\nBe the radiant, good daughter, I\u2019m now inclined
\nbecause if the road to heaven
\nlies under my mother\u2019s feet,
\nhow dare I even treat a gift from God
\nwithout any goodness?
\nShe\u2019s a gem of graciousness, and girl,
\nshe brought you into this world!<\/p>\n

Gonna show to the One above
\nthankfulness for bringing me the one who taught me love –
\nsayang, cinta, in arabic, they say mawaddah.
\nAnd I better be better
\nto the best:
\nmy Ummi.<\/p>\n
